We have received interest from people who cannot participate in the entire Rally event but would like to join us for a portion of the trip. Happy to help!

If you want to join us for any part of the Rally, you must complete and submit the Entry Form and the required payment(s). Please contact the Air Rally Committee prior to submitting the entry form found online.
Summary:
• Any single day (or 2) as a competitor:
Included with each day’s entry fee is transportation to and from the host hotel; morning breakfast at a group flight briefing; adequate bottled water for your flight; lunch enroute at the mid-point fuel stop; entry to our Hospitality Suite with adult beverages and light snacks. |
• Any single day (or 2) as a non-competitor (no prizes):
Included with the final day entry fee is our expanded Hospitality Suite, a group briefing and breakfast before the departure for OSH, and one ticket to our awards dinner on Tuesday, July 29 on-field at AirVenture. Extra tickets to the awards dinner are available at $30 each. |

Note: Hotel reservations at all locations are the repsonsibility of the entrant.
Details:
- Can’t enter the 50th Hayward Air Rally for all three days of the competition?
- You would, or could enter, but you live somewhere other than California and you don’t want to fly west, to go east?
- You have work commitments that make our rally schedule a problem for you?
- The competition isn’t your cup of tea?
- But you still want to fly to Oshkosh?
You have questions, we have some answers.
Naturally we’d prefer a full entry where you compete on the entire course: imagine the accolades you will receive at Oshkosh when crowned as our champion!
But we recognize there are many reasons why you can’t enter for the full event, so for this special 50th anniversary Rally if you can’t enter and compete on the full route of Hayward to Oshkosh (actually Madison), we will allow ‘part-time’ participants in the Hayward Air Rally:
- You may enter and fly any single day’s competition route, joining up with us at
- Hayward on July 23, to fly to Silver Springs NV and Wendover UT the next day; or
- Wendover on July 24, to fly to Lander WY and Rapid City SD the next day; or
- Rapid City on July 25, to fly to Montevideo MN and Madison WI the next day; or
- Any combination of these single days.
Single day flight legs will be provided some prize money and trophies **if** there are a minimum of two ‘part-timers’ competing on that route.
You may fly any single day’s route, or combination of days, or the entire three days as a non-competitor; i.e, you are ‘auditing the course’ and are simply flying along for the fun and pleasure of an extended cross-country with a great group of pilots.
You may join up with the group at Madison on our final stop on the Rally, and fly with your aircraft to Oshkosh! This should be particularly inviting to pilots who are inexperienced with the AirVenture arrival procedures – we will get you briefed with our group and provide you with a step-by-step guide to arrive at Oshkosh safely. This is **not** a formation flight to Oshkosh; it is an organized, staged, departure launch in specific ordered intervals from Madison so as to have the entire group arrive in a certain time window at Oshkosh. Every pilot has the basic skills to fly this arrival procedure, so all are welcome!
Entry fees for the single day legs are priced differently than the full entry. Each day of competition is $100, except for the last day which is $150. We've decided that is the easiest and fairest since the full entry fee is $300. There are more included freebies with the third day, so we need to charge a higher rate.
Non-competitors (pleasure flyers) can deduct $25 per day from these rates as there is no participation in any prize fund.

For the Madison to Oshkosh group flight arrival only, the cost is $25 which includes the group breakfast briefing, and transportation to and from the host hotel.
Our award-winning, world-famous, and not-sold-in-stores commemorative 50th Hayward Air Rally t-shirt is available for a price of $15 each. Unisex sizing, 100% cotton and pre-shrunk for your inconvenience: sizes S-M-L-XL-2XL, and on special request for a small additional fee, The Big Kahuna shirt.
Air Rally polo shirts are also available: these are 100% cotton weave, banded sleeves, no pocket, with a price of $25 each. Up to two lines of custom embroidery are available (name, aircraft, hometown, ‘race’ number, whatever) but cannot be guaranteed at this late date. We will make a best effort to get that for you but the initial deadline has passed as of this writing (June 12, 2014).
